World of Yakut Holiday "Ysyakh"
Russian Ethnographical Museum invites you to the exhibition "World of Yakut Holiday: Calendar, Traditions, Art" from the collection of Russian Ethnographical Museum. The exhibition is organized to celebration of the Days of Republic of Sakha (Yakutiya) carried out in Saint Petersburg. The exhibition is dedicated to the main historical events - 370th anniversary of Yakutiya's joining Russia and 300th anniversary of foundation of Saint Petersburg. On display there are unique memorial of material and spiritual culture of the most northern in the world Yakut cattle-breeders of the end of the 19th century - 20th century. The main idea of the exhibition is traditional Yakut holiday "Ysyakh" closer connected to the main occupation of the Yakuts.
